NEW EP ONE LESS BASTARD
OUT 8TH NOVEMBER VIA KALEIDOSCOPE
Organised Scum are releasing their second EP of 2019, following up ‘Compliance’ (released in May) with ‘One Less Bastard’. Featuring cover art from legendary Bizarro novelist Steve Aylett, the new EP sees the band deepen their fascination with literary counter-cultures and the ‘sad futurism’ of imagined dystopias brought on by neo-liberal economics and the emerging climate crisis.
They have had support in the past from: Tom Robinson and Steve Lamacq, Line of Best Fit, Clash Magazine and others.
Sonically, the band are continuing their ill-advised attempt to sound like Fugazi hanging out with Steely Dan at a world music festival’s Medical Tent. They’ve delved into a strange amalgam of post-punk, Syd Barrett-era psychedelia, groove-based hypnotica and a lyrical approach which is both intentionally and unintentionally unintelligible.
