Melkbelly – “Kid Kreative” | Single Review

Melkbelly's "Kid Kreative" gets a little gross.

Melkbelly is a four piece from Chicago and this is their new single “Kid Kreative”. It’s the lead taste of what to expect from their upcoming album Natural Valley and will be the first release on the newly discovered Wax Nine Records.

With a music video of a guy generally being a bastard and eating everything, “Kid Kreative” is a track that perfectly soundtracks a descend into lo-fi gluttony. Featuring guitars steeped in fuzz, distorted female vocals and melodies that seem to have just rolled out of bed, the track lazily delivers a sound that’s very easy going but full of fire in it’s hungry belly.

It’s a little dose of slacker punk rock that sits very well with me. It also makes me a little hungry too.
