Vuromantics have only been around for half of the year and already they’re making a splash. They’ve very recently released their new EP In The Night and (spoilers) it is superb, and the lead single from it is equally as good too.

Still A Great Night – ‘Still A Great Night’ | Release of the Week
It’s crazy how lowered our boundaries are when it comes to nights out. You throw up? It’s still a great night. You spend a ridiculous amount of money and ultimately lose your wallet? It’s still a great night. You stumble home and spill the Pot Noodle you just made in your drunken haze? Hey, it’s still a great night, though that is a little heartbreaking. Still A Great Night have burst onto the scene with their debut single ‘Still A Great Night’ and it is AWESOME.
Harvie Ashby – ‘Effigy of a Burning Man’ | Single Review
Harvie Ashby is a multi-instrumentalist from Richmond, Virginia and this is his new single ‘Effigy of a Burning Man’. I really wish I could be a multi-anything, whether it be guitars, languages and even a storey-car park, just having that title of “multi-“ seems really badass to me. Harvie, you are badass my friend.
Dear Caroline – ‘Felt Like Forever’ | Single Review
Dear Caroline are a quartet from Manchester and this is their new single ‘Felt Like Forever’. I know somebody at work called Caroline, and she’s known for always clomping down the avenues with her thick black boots. It’s a little unnerving at times, but it’s nice to be known for something. Anyway, these guys caused quite a stir with their debut single ‘Caroline’, gaining numerous radio plays and performing standout sets at various festivals too, so this new single should help build upon that early momentum (Spoilers: it does).
Sounds Good’s Good Sounds | Spotify Playlist (18.10.17)
Hello! As well as providing solid, well (ish) written reviews and recommending the hottest and best new music on a regular basis, we’ve also been curating a Spotify Playlist each week for those who’d like to experience new music directly into their lugholes. The Sounds Good’s Sound Good Playlist offers a short collection of tracks that have appeared in the blog’s email inbox or submission queues, or tracks that I’ve personally stumbled across via Spotify’s Discover playlist or Hot New Bands playlist.
I’ve not really given it the hype it deserves and have been a little sloppy on promoting it, so here’s a big old post about it that should (hopefully) become a regular thing every Wednesday. Below will be the playlist itself, as well as the setlist alongside a little sentence or two on why I dig the track a lot.
