David Harks – ‘Avalon’ | Single Review

David Harks' new single 'Avalon' is dead good.

David Harks has quietly built up a reputation over the years. Whether it’s through producing solid material with his band Safetalk, his sporadic solo releases on labels such as  Sunday Best, Kitsune and Eskimo Recordings or even just being bigged up by the likes of Neon Gold, Thump and DIY, this dude is seemingly killing it from beneath the radar.

‘Avalon’ is his latest solo effort and it is easy to see why he is becoming quite the name. Warm basslines accompany mysterious synths to produce an easy going instrumental for David’s vocals to croon and swoon on, before the track bursts into a delightful little indie pop tune, creating a beat that immediately puts a smile on my face. It’s lovely, it’s great; no wonder David’s been doing so well.
