Rows – ‘Something More’ | Single Review

‘Something More’ is the new single from LA-Based Rows, who has also just released an EP under the same name. This song is all about heartbreak and the courage that comes from putting an end to a relationship. It’s a tough thing to do but something we all have to go through at some point in our lives. Unless you’re smart and pledge to only have relations with Pizza. Pizza will never let you down.

The man behind Rows, Matt Couchois blends together to immediacy of indie rock with the spacious quality of indie pop and shoegaze. ‘Something More’ features the snappy quality of solid drums as well as the youthfulness of trebled guitars, but washes out the sound with a thick layer of synthesiser to really expand the sound into a glorious soundscape. It makes for a very emotive, powerful listen and one that I cannot get tired of. It’s brilliant.
