SOACH – ‘Silo’ | Single Review

SOACH is a singer-songwriter from Leicester and this is his debut single ‘Silo’. It’s set to kick off a rush of hype and buzz in anticipation of his debut EP Bad Summer which is set for release later this year, but for now let’s just really appreciate how freakin’ great this song is.

Thick, fuzzy synths immediately take over the airwaves with a dose of forward-thinking distortion that pairs up with some simple, snappy drum beats to create something that’s got a bit of swing to it’s murky waters. SOACH’s crooning falsetto sounds silky smooth, and brightens up the instrumental tremendously, allowing for the catchy elements of the song to pop out of the forever pulsating bass. ‘Silo’ is a surprising introduction into some pretty original sounds. SOACH has already got me hooked, and now I’d like some more.
