Single Review

Ponytails tears through the airwaves with new single | ‘Cherry Pie’

Now personally, I find nothing wrong with a bit of homo-eroticism. Infact, I think it adds a bit of spice to things. ‘Cherry Pie’ is the new song from Ponytails, and it takes a look at what it means to be best friends with somebody and takes it to a…very extreme level. I almost wanted to feature this simply because of the video, which is rather naughty.

‘Cherry Pie’ is a track that tastes as sweet as it sounds. Jangly guitars deliver melodies that seem to rise up into the atmosphere, immediately adding a sense of calm to the world. The rhythm section boosts this niceness too, producing a performance that’s warm and inviting, just like cherry pie. Ponytails do add in a little bit of bitterness to the track, as it heads into a psychedelic breakdown that slowwwwssss down the guitars and harmonies, before throwing us back into a wonderful build up that erupts beautifully. It’s awesome.
