Good Sounds Playlist | Black Sheep

Welcome to the Good Sounds Playlist! We recently watched Scott Pilgrim vs The World this past week, so thank you to Scott and co for reminding us how good Metric’s “Black Sheep” is. So good that it becomes the inspiration behind the Playlist’s title. We also feel that it’s an appropriate title to give it considering how saturated the playlist world is these days.

But enough baa-d vibes, the playlist is filled with twelve artists who will certainly NEVER EVER land on your list of seven evil exes. We’ve got the likes of Silkrats continuing their unbeaten streak of having each of their songs featured by us in some form (honestly, possibly the greatest streak since The Undertaker’s at Wrestlemania), a debut from Glasgow’s Speak Easy Circus plus a whole range of others.

Funky jams from the likes of Pelicandy and Hey Violet provide some groove against the heavy tones of Little Thief, Leopard Rays, Sweetness and Arms Akimbo, whilst Jamie Hamilton and The Entire City close out the good sounds with some…good sounds.

ALSO, a special shout out to dear friend Holly Rees, who’s currently tackling Canada all by herself like a proper badass. Holly has already reached her goal on her IndieGoGo campaign, created to help her get to Canadian Music Week BUT DO YOURSELVES A FAVOUR and support it anyway to get ahold of those sweet perks. New single “Better” from her upcoming Text Me When You Get There LIVE EP is a proper bash bash tune that makes tons of noise. ENJOY.
