Good Sounds Playlist / Maybe, Tomorrow

Good morning everybody! Welcome to this week’s roundup of the Good Sounds Playlist. Thank you to Canada’s The Fame for the inspiration behind its name. I felt “Maybe, Tomorrow” was an appropriate title as it accurately describes my mind-set for decisions for the last ENTIRETY OF MY LIFE. Something I actively attempt to change, but enough digging deep to expose flaws, it’s time to dance.

Much like The Fame, there’s an avid interest in bringing solid riffage throughout the latest set of songs added to the playlist. Fellow Canadians PONY and all-female Punk act Viqueen also contribute gritty guitars to the cause, whereas Arlo Parks, Phlake and Tilly Valentine offer a glossier alternative. These two extremes are bridged by the likes of Sandra Bouza, Tokyo Tea Room, Aaron Taos and Dancing Tongues, who blend both moods together to produce songs that dance while retaining some of that grittiness.

I’d also like to point out how perfect I find Love You Later’s “Said That You’d Be There” as an opener and how much I enjoyed the images procured by WRENN’s “Craigslist Personals”. I’ve personally never been on Craigslist; too many horror stories on Reddit tell me not to. A massive thank you to each of the artists featured this week. Without you, the Good Sounds Playlist would not sound so good.

If you’re an artist with some new music out and would like to have it considered for a potential spot on the Good Sounds Playlist, please do send it over. Sounds Good is part of Musosoup, SubmitHub and also has a Contact page. Happy listening! Good music, good vibes, always.
