Hi everyone! Welcome to this week’s roundup of the Good Sounds Playlist. It’s a pretty special week as the songs featured have all come from submissions to the campaign devised by SYNCR Music. I’ve worked alongside SYNCR for quite a while now, and it astounds me that artists are still using the campaign to submit their music for this playlist. Thank you.
Despite thinking I cared little about Valentine’s Day, the songs featured all seem to feature around love and its many branches. Personally, I feel it’s a sham and something merely created with commercial thoughts in mind, and it dilutes the meaning of making a loved one feel loved. On the other hand, I did use it as an excuse to order pizza for dinner. Get in.
With the appearance of storms Ciara and Dennis, there’s a noticeable change of pace this week. Austel’s piano-led “Dry” kicks things off with a tone that’s a little sombre than recent weeks, and is backed up by Gumshoe, Glass Violet and Agat to keep that moodier vibe going. Ugly Mothers celebrate their introduction to the world with the seriously cool “Gringo”, and there’s some pure Pop vibes courtesy of Little Brother Eli, Jude Todd and Joe Doleman.
As always, thank you to SYNCR for keeping this campaign running. Thank you to all of the artists who submitted their music to be featured, and thank YOU for listening. If you liked what you heard, how about considering following the playlist on Spotify? Maybe even share it with your favourite people? Below is a list of all twelve artists featured this week, including links to their social meeds as well as the chosen song. Happy listening, see you next week!
