Hi all, welcome to this week’s roundup post of the Good Sounds Playlist, the playlist updated on a weekly basis here on Sounds Good. The majority of the songs featured come from submissions sent from artists all over the world, although some will come from albums and EPs that have dominated the ears lately. If you’d like to feature on the playlist, drop me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Wants are responsible for the inspiration behind the name of the post, as “Clearly a Crisis” comes as part of their excellent debut album Container, which was released last month. It’s also a regular bit of feedback I used to receive on Tinder. The record is one I’ve been enjoying for a while now, and will definitely be featuring on the upcoming albums roundup post I’ll be publishing soon. Don’t worry, I won’t be planning to cause any controversy, Fetch the Bolt Cutters will be there.
Now, let’s move on to the playlist. Inside contains two debuts from Sianon and Home Counties who produce totally different sounds but offer the same satisfaction on the ears. In Earnest also made their introduction to the world but considering the review, it’s no surprise ‘Put Me Under’ made its way on the playlist. The rest of the featured artists are still new to the scene, with some beginning to build modest discographies. I really like the moody grooves of Trophy Wife’s ‘Beauty Queen’ and the laid back intro of Lissy Taylor’s ‘Wildflowers’, before it sits upright to bring some fury to the ears.
Thank you very much for checking out and listening to the Good Sounds Playlist. Inside these roundup posts are links to each artists’ social media pages alongside their respective single. Perhaps you could get in touch with your favourites and tell them Sounds Good sent you? That would be nice. If you could also give the playlist a follow on Spotify, that would be even nicer.
