Smoke Season – ‘Sweetest Thing’ | Single Review

I love a bit of Indie Pop you know. Without doubt it’s one of the more positive genres in music, and it’s so easy to crack on with a playlist of Indie Poppiness and have a great day. ‘Sweetest Thing’ is the new single from Smoke Season, who’ve dropped a steady stream of singles over the past year or so which should signal the release of an EP or something soon, right?

‘Sweetest Thing’ has everything you could want from an Indie Pop tune: the vibrant instrumental, sketchy, catchy guitars, drums that seem to be covered in Hawaiian shirts they’re so tropical and hooks upon hooks upon hooks. The male/female vocal dynamic really adds another layer to the mix, and definitely helps ramp up the sheer accessibility this track has. It’s catchy, it’s groovy, it’s got me feeling good.
